I am Penelope, the photographer behind Salmonberry Photography. And I believe that photography is the art of capturing the lived experience, not the posed one.

That means that my goal is to capture your family just as you are: messy hair, giggles, quiet cuddles, and everything in between. No forced smiles or stiff poses, just the beautiful chaos of childhood.

Kids are happiest when they’re free to explore, play, and simply. So my sessions are child led, they are designed to be fun. Simply put, they are designed around play.

Because life in all of its messiness is deserving of documentation, and a simply ‘everyone smile at the camera’ just doesn’t capture this one beautiful messy life.
